Easter at Epcot

One of our favorite times of year to visit Disney World is Spring time! The weather is nice and the parks are absolutely beautiful!

Spring also brings one of our favorite events to Epcot: Epcot's Flower and Garden Festival.

During this festival, Epcot comes alive with topiaries of some of your favorite Disney characters! If your trip happens to be on or around Easter, we highly recommend taking part in Epcot's EGGstravanganza.

The EGGstravanganza is an Easter egg hunt around World Showcase featuring different Disney characters.

To participate in the egg hunt, stop by one of the participating stores to pick up your map and stickers to mark the location of the eggs. We picked our maps up at Disney Traders as we entered World Showcase and we were on our way! Each country has a unique character egg hidden somewhere within the country. This is a great opportunity to see all the countries of Epcot and have some egg-stra (sorry, couldn't resist) fun in the process! If you get thirsty on your hunting journey, stop by Pineapple Promenade, right outside the Canada pavilion, and get you a frozen Violet Lemonade. It's the perfect thing to quench your thirst as you traverse the world is search for eggs! If you'd prefer a stronger, adult beverage, stop at Fleur de Lys in France and try the La Vie en Rose Frozen Slushy!

This event is fun for all ages and it makes a great, inexpensive souvenir! When we did our egg hunt, we had a group of 4 adults, and believe me when I said we had a blast walking through the different countries looking for the eggs! This is also a great activity to do on a trip with kids. If you want to sample food and beverages from around the World, but worry that your kid(s) won't be in to it, this is the perfect way to keep them occupied on your World Tour.

The maps are $6.99 and once you have completed your hunt, you can turn your map in for a Disney themed Easter egg. Even if you don't complete your map, you can still turn it in for a

prize egg. If you are flying solo without the little ones, this is a unique, inexpensive souvenir to bring home. I purchased two extra maps and brought home a Mike and Sully themed egg for each of my boys. Bonus, each of the eggs has an eggs-tra special surprise inside! Okay, I'm done with the egg puns.

*Pro Tip-If you want to keep your map and your egg, just let the cast member know and they will stamp the back of your map to note that you have already collected your prize egg. I kept the two unused extra maps, so I got to bring home the map, stickers, and the prize egg for my kids.

Test your egg hunting skills. Can you find the Thumper egg in the picture below? Leave a comment if you find it!
