How to Get Your Disney Fix at Home

Let's face it, we've all been there. We've all experienced the post-Disney blues. Right now, it's harder than ever with the Parks being closed. Here are some of our favorite ways to bring some Disney Magic in to your home to tide you over until your next trip HOME!

1. Plan your next Disney vacation. What better way to beat the Disney blues than by having a new Disney trip to look forward to?! We all know that Disney takes lots of planning and prep time. Planning out your hotel, park days, fastpasses, and dining options is a great way to keep you engaged in the Disney Magic at home. We personally like to have a few future trips in the works! Even if you can't put the deposit down just yet and book anything official, it's still nice to be able to talk about what you plan to do the next time you visit Disney.

2. Wear your ears! I don't know why, but sometimes it just helps to wear your ears around the house. If you are like any of us, you have an extensive collection of ears. Why not wear them?! I personally believe that Minnie ears should be a part of every day life. Even if you are just wearing them around the house, it's a fun way to bring that Park Life home with you.

3. Eat your favorite Disney foods and drinks. While you can't eat and drink all of your favorite Disney foods, there are a ton of recipes for you to try until your next Disney trip. Check out this blog post with some of our favorites that we've tried: Disney Food at Home (coming soon!). You can also purchase Mickey Ice Cream Bars and Mickey Ice Cream Sandwiches at home. Mickey Ice Cream Bars hit the grocery shelves last year, and the Mickey Ice Cream Sandwiches recently became available in grocery stores. If you're not one for cooking, these are a great option to get your Disney Snacks at home! They can be hard to find, so if you come across them, you might want to get a couple of boxes.

4. Watch Disney+. This one's easy! When you need some Disney in your life, turn on Disney+ and watch your favorite classic Disney movie. If you haven't seen it yet, you should definitely add The Imagineering Story to your watchlist. This mini-series takes you through Imagineering from the conception and opening of Disneyland to present day Disney Parks. There are countless options to keep you occupied until your next trip to see the Mouse!

5. Listen to Disney music. When I'm missing Disney, I like to turn on music from the Parks, close my eyes, and pretend I'm there. We all love @disneysoudss on Instagram! They post different snip-its of land and ride music so you have a variety of Disney Parks music all in one place!

6. Revisit your old Disney photos. We love to go back and look at photos from past Disney trips! We always purchase the PhotoPass in advance so we have lots of ride videos in addition to our photos that help bring the Magic home! In between trips is the perfect time to go through all your trip photos and organize them in to a Shutterfly or Chatbooks book.

7. Do a Disney craft. If you are a crafty person, you can always take your Disney photos and create a scrapbook. There are tons of other craft ideas that you can find on Pinterest! We love to make our own Minnie ears! There are tons of tutorials on how to do different types of ears from the traditional sewn ears to no-sew ears to floral and wire ears. If you have access to a 3D printer, there are tons of free 3d print designs that you can make. I recently purchased an embroidery machine and I'm quite obsessed with making Disney embroidery designs
